The Honorable Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Maritime University (BMU), Rear Admiral Dr. Khandakar Akhter Hossain, NUP, ndc, psc, PhD attended a meeting on 31st October 2025 with the President of the World Maritime University (WMU) Professor Maximo Q. Mejia Jr in Malmo, Sweden.

The discussion focused on enhancing academic collaboration, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building programs in maritime education, ocean governance, and sustainability.
