বাংলাদেশ মেরিটাইম ইউনিভার্সিটি যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদা, গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও ভাবগাম্ভীর্যের মধ্য দিয়ে মহান শহিদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস–২০২৬ পালন করেছে।

দিবসের কর্মসূচির সূচনায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর রিয়ার এডমিরাল ড. খন্দকার আক্তার হোসেন, এনবিপি, এনইউপি, এনডিসি, পিএসসি, পিএইচডি-এর নেতৃত্বে একটি প্রতিনিধিদল কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনার-এ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করেন। এ সময় ভাষা শহিদদের স্মৃতির প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা জানানো হয়।

পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ অনুষ্ঠানে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন অনুষদের ডিন, বিভাগীয় প্রধান, শিক্ষক, কর্মকর্তা, কর্মচারী ও শিক্ষার্থীরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। উপস্থিত সকলেই মহান ভাষা আন্দোলনের শহিদদের আত্মত্যাগ গভীরভাবে স্মরণ করেন এবং মাতৃভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষায় অঙ্গীকার পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেন।

Bangladesh Maritime University observed “The Martyr’s Day and International Mother Language Day–2026” with due solemnity, deep respect, and reverence.

At the beginning of the day’s programme, a delegation led by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Rear Admiral Dr. Khandakar Akhter Hossain, NBP, NUP, ndc, psc, PhD, placed a wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar on behalf of the University. Profound homage was paid to the martyrs of the Language Movement.

Deans of various faculties, department heads, teachers, officers, staff members, and students of the University were present at the wreath-laying ceremony. All present solemnly remembered the supreme sacrifices of the Language Movement Martyrs and reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the dignity of the mother tongue.
